The reason the Philly show didn't go overtime is probably the same reason that shows in the USA have curfews. The crew gets paid overtime for all the cleanup that has to go on and at most shows artists get fined for every MINUTE they go over. It's not just the performers who are involved. There's all the behind the scenes people and their time that have to be considered. If the extra policemen on duty, the clean up crew, and the people who set it up and tear it down were told that they'd get off at 8:00, then they expected to get off at 8:00, not to wait around until long-winded musicians tried to solve the world's problems.

Really? I watched them on AOL demand and thought they were fantastic!

Well that was what my dad said but then he doesn't most modern rock bands because instead of writing great lyrics and music they over amplify so you can hear it too well, or just make meaningless crap just to sell records. That's his view. I can see what he means in some cases but I wouldn't go that far. Gonna give Velvet Revolver a listen now and see for myself.
Well first of all that Do It For The Kids was crap. I wouldn't be surprised if my dad turned off right in the middle of that. Although Fall to Pieces and Slither were really good. Quite impressed.
