Slightly off topic. I was just reading about the box set and read that Starting All Over Again was re-recorded for the set. What does this mean? Was it recorded again (new vox, music etc.) in 2002/03 or what?

Out of bounds might have been, catchy as hell riff and if it was released at the time it was written the band were huge anyway.

Yeah there's a demo version floating around on YouTube, much more raw obviously than the box set version. I actually prefer it tbh.

Speaking of unreleased songs I see one of the singles from HAND online the other day, WSYCGH if I remember correctly, and track two was a demo called I'd Buy That For A Dollar. I've searched and can't find it anywhere.

Could anyone possibly shed any light on that track?

Sort of. The original Starting All Over Again was a bonus track on KTF. The box set's version is the more raw one. I think I remember hearing it used the guide vocal track. The previously released version is the final version.

As for I'd buy that for a dollar it's the first Ive heard of it. It said it was a bside?

How about "Unbreakable"?
Not necessarily a great Bon Jovi song, but it is ridiculously catchy and memorable. I could see it being a huge radio hit.

I love all the Old School Bon Jovi songs. They are all hits to my ears.

I'd even love decent versions of songs like Heartbreak Eyes, The Other Side Of The Night, & all of the basement demos from Slippery

I am going to go for a few that have not been listed yet which i absolutely love.

Another reason to believe
Prostitute (The Sambora fills on the vocals.... ah !)
River runs dry
If i can't have your love (Sambora)

The last one, with a good arrangement ? killer song and killer vocals

What do you all think about We Can Dance? It's a ballad-y song that would have probably be well received on AOR and still could be well performed live. I'd like to think it could be performed better than Memory is these days.

a) would have been a hit if released
I think that here the only ones with posibilities of being hits were Edge of a Broken Heart and maybe even Unbreakable if it was released as a single, it's a radio friendly song. About Stay, as is, I don't think it could have been a hit, it's sounds too unfinished IMO.

b) would have stood up against the bands best stuff
Lonely. One of the finest songs I've heard, really love it. Don't know if I should put Nothing here, but I think that it's one of the best songs the band wrote in the post-2000 era.

c) been better for an album than another track
Put The Boy Back In Cowboy should have made Lost Highway, placing it maybe before We Got It Going On. Lonely should have ended the record. Dirty Little Secret, Unbreakable and These Open Arms should have been in Have A Nice Day. I've already done a thread that says how HAND and LH should have been IMO.

Edge Of A Broken Heart is 100 times better than the piece of crap that Social Disease is. It should have been there.

Starting All Over Again and Save A Prayer (without the dumb intro) should have made Keep The Faith, maybe replacing Woman In Love and Blame it on the Love of Rock and Roll, but I feel bad touching Keep The Faith, New Jersey and These Days, so let's leave them the way they were.
