Aww man, and here I loved Joey - mostly for the piano though.
Then again, I'm a self professed David fangirl. I think the man is an incredibly talented musical genius. And that's just aside from being the one that went to Julliard...
Personally I miss him on the albums. I agree that the Circle is a bit better, but not as much as I'd like to see. *shrug* Then again, I could also complain about the lack of bass being used too...but Jon has stated very clearly that the bass is to be "felt and not heard".
I remember the interviews surrounding one of the recent albums (bounce or HAND I think) and Tico was like "yeah, I came in and recorded for like 2 days and that was all they needed me for". Do you think it's been the same story with David?
...Tho I think he did have a hand in writing Last Cigarette. Not that he gave himself much of a part.
