it was Everyday for me. no word of a lie....

i mentioned to my brother i liked that song....his missus is into bon jovi too...anyway for christmas he bought tickets for us 3 to see them at hyde park. saw them, thought they were ace (even though there was about 45000 people in front of me! lol), bought their other albums.
when your first ever bon jovi album is Bounce it is so great because you buy older albums and they get better.....

.....4 years on here we are

As You are from Holland and never have seen BJ in their prime I can clearly see what made you so bitter! No hard feelings I feel sorry for you dude! Try to smoke some other pot than you're doing while posting on here. Maybe it helps!

What made me a BJ fan:

Became a fan in 1984 - so this is one of the rare bands that are still around and that I followed from the beginning. Saw them first in 1989 in Frankfurt and was blown away. After that I saw em on every new tour. Highlight was the London 1995 show- the concert which was (poorly!) released on VHS/DVD. The shows I saw on the subsequent tours were still enjoyable (especially the shows in Munich where they always played with extra passion and threw in a rare song or two). Considered HAND as a return to form after the mediocre Crush and Bounce. The more I am upset about a lame release with no power like LH. And if that wasn't enuff they even destroy their old songs with the new versions. So I don't consider myself as a fan at the moment anymore (could you believe it) but I respect them for their work pre 2007. Too bad that it seems it ends here. Dont have any hopes that they might release an A-class record anymore. Sad indeed! The O2 gig in London will be my last BJ concert for quite some time (unless the Bstreet band retires and they return with a smoking record - which won't happen I suppose )

THe ones that became fans in the 00's never ''lived'' what happened in the 80's or 90's and therefore never get what some (the anti 00's) are saying as they don't have a real comparising, and you notice they have way different standards.
The ones in the 90's can go either way, the were too young for the 80's but therefore aren't a grandmother/fater or are still alive. I kinda believe they either love or hate the 00's. I saw many go stick by BJ during 97-00 period (td --> crush) but hooked off after crush or either bounce, so I guess the anti-00's are in minority but should be heard because there are more out there....
YOU ARE IN SUCH DEEP TROUBLE NOW I have been a fan since the 80's , I have a pulse, am not fat and dont look like a granny, u married me

As for Seb beginning fandom at DA, it is a good album one of my favourites but I see it solely as JBJ album and not BJ.

I have always found that fans who have joined the jovi journey late seem to be unable to appreciate the journey for what it is... somehow I wonder if they feel irritated for not being around during the hey day and want that to return, so they winge and moan wanting a replica old album .... it aint going to happen u cant go back, just accept it and be eternally grateful the old albums/recordings are there to be heard.

Jons voice isnt what it used to be, u missed it live at its pinnacle, sorry you were late, but you have the videos.

I believe DA was the first step, a interlude into Crush & Bounce. But I consider DA a almost masterpiece while I think they kinda evolutioned (or something) from DA into Crush but went the wrong way in between...

That's why I still don't know where it went wrong, did Jon evolutionized (or something) too much, or did the combo Jon & the band didn't work out after the solo projects......

I was introduced when my Dad had TD on. I didn't know (and wasn't really interested) who the band was until a few weeks after, but my dad started listening to the other albums more and more in the car etc so I started listening to the albums.

After a year-ish I stopped listening to music pretty much, but then I bought Crush and enjoyed parts of it, but wasn't blown away by songs like Save The World and Mystery Train. I got caught up the IML tsunami on radio, and decided to go over all the older stuff, and then went to my first BJ gig: Wembley August, 2000.

Then it was a case of BJ becoming my favorite band, overtaking REM. I bought Bounce on releaseday, and loved it - still do. My second gig was Hyde Park 2003. I decided againt the Box Set - and I didn't know about HAND until I saw an advert a few days before release, but I got that on release day too. I was disappointed with WTWYA and IWBL, but otherwise I enjoyed it very much. Then I went BJ mad, attending both MK shows (expecting wembley ) and joining this board. I got LH the day before release (thanks to a HMV cock-up) and love it. I got the boxset a few days later - and here I am

How can anyone forget the hey days with an albums like SWW/NJ , it just wont happen, the albums are immortal.

Pinncale , means highest, upper most.... Most people feel their first experience with Jons voice is their personal pinnacle experience.... u discovered them in the 90s and thats your pinnacle time...I discovered them in the 80 s and its my pinnacle time for them, jovi experiences go hand in hand with personal memories , it adds to the hightened experience of choosing the best jovi moments.

There might be more than 8 yrs between us
