Hey Seb - perhaps you can translate this for all of us. It's unintelligible to me.

You, my dear man are full of shit. I became a fan in the 80's and I am neither dead nor a grandparent. Learn some perspective from your new wife.

And just to answer the question I am still a fan - maybe because of my longterm association. It's hard to answer if I would become a fan these days after hearing Lost Highway - probably not.

I wish I could have seen Jovi in the 80s or 90s. Unfortunately that is not possible since I got interested in Bon Jovi when I heard "It's My Life". I was almost 11 when I became a fan!

I heard the Wolfman perform One Wild Night at a show at Universal Studios, got it stuck in my head, looked up the song when I got home, looked up more Bon Jovi stuff, and got hooled.

(I'm 20. And I love Lost Highway)

My mom loves to tell the story to this day about how when I was 4 or 5, I would see BJ's videos on TV and swear I would marry "the boy who sang".

Clearly that never panned out for me.

Anyway, I became the fan I am today when KTF was released. "In These Arms" and "Bed Of Roses" sucked me in (even though now BOR makes me want to die a slow, painful death). After buying KTF, I decided to buy SWW and NJ as well and of course remembered many of the songs even though I was very young when they were out. Basically the psychosis started from there... I bought the first album and 7800 and I've bought every last little thing since then. I think it was the release of "Always" that really brought me to the point of no return though. As much as I don't consider myself the cliche Bon Jovi fan, that song is forever implanted in my damn soul. No joke.

I fiiiiiiinally got to see them on the Bounce tour and thought it was the most amazing thing in the world at the time. Looking back on it now, it was crap.

I loved the HAND shows though... went to 3 of them and they were some of the most enjoyable of the 200+ concerts I've been to in my life.

I guess I have mixed emotions about LH at this time though. I do like some of the songs a whole lot, but overall it kinda saddens me that they felt like they needed to make this album.

And the new video makes me want to punch something.

No band? LeAnn Rimes? That song?

No thanks.

[QUOTE=DevilsSon;788764]Well, for me it is easy. I saw Jon Bon Jovi perform in Moonlight and Valentino and imediately realized I was in love. Ever since I built up a huge collection of Jon posters and pictures. I even bought his music so I could hear his voice and later the DVD's of other movies like Vampires or U-571. I love every single one of his movies and every single one of his songs. He is just amazing. This even led to my decision to join the fanclub and meet other people like me. When Jon shakes his ass during live shows, I almost feel like crying. It is always something like an epiphany for me. You are right about me not liking Lost Highway. Although Jon sounds better than ever, live he sometimes looks like flirting with that violin woman and I am simply to jealous to take it. But then I go to bed and he always appears in my dreams, and then he is just mine...

Oh, and I am in my 20s as well by the way.[/QUOTE
Now that is interesting-someone who discovered him in his movies. First person I have met that said that. i love that movie too but No Looking Back is my favorite.
