I became a fan the day I saw the Bad Name video on MTV. I about shit. I sat down on my coffee table and said "who are these guys?". I would wait for it to come on again. This was when MTV was strictly videos 24 hours a day. (No age comments here) Then I waited to see those 5 guys walking up the ramp in the Prayer video. Never looked back. Seen them every tour. Highlight...........Phoenix 1989. I will never forget it. they had a cat walk that came out thru the whole arena. Jon and Richie came out on it and played right in front of us. Jon had the NJ long coat on I think. aAnd he did the best entry ever when he came up thru the bottom of the stage to Lay Your Hands. thanks to world of bottlegs-I have that entire concert on dvd and its a bit of time capsule feel when I watch it.
These Days and Faith are my 2 favorite albums. and then HAND. I like their harder rock stuff-If I Was Your Mother for instance. Unbreakable.Still Standing, Lay Your Hands.These Days is one of my favs but Wanted is my all-time favorite. I thought to myself that i have heard this song a million times and never tire of it.
I tend to like Jon's take no shit songs the best. My son asked me if they ever really ROCKED-I played Standing, If I Was, Lay Your Hands-he got the idea.

I love LH because it is my band. But it is by far the weakest album. And I can't wait until they get rid of these other musicians and get back to the Jovi I know and love. Although i do realize there will be no more SWW or NJ albums. If you missed the 80's-that was such a huge time to be a fan.

Seb-------curious------if you really dislike them so much now why don't you say Oh Well and move on to someone you like more? I'm not being mean at all. I really am wondering why you stick around?

Well, I'll be in my 20's in less than 2 months (holy shit on that)
I became a fan in August of '01, when I got OWN and Slippery When Wet on the same day. Even then I knew that OWN was bleh, but Slippery grabbed me and didn't let go. They've been my fav. band ever since.

I'm 16 I liked bon jovi because of their 80's song(you give love a bad name, Livin' on a prayer and i'll be there for you)and it was in 2005. I became a huge fan(not on the released of hand it was 3months after(december 28,2005) the release of HAND) coz' of the smirk and "have a nice day"(the song). It became my song of the moment..it had the right lyrics, right thought, right melody...from then on...I've been addicted to the band! I once hated the band..back in 2000 when they released "it's my life" coz' the song had and they've got tons of airwaves...and i was sick of hearing the song...but ending up liking the song and the band 5yrs. after....

it's all sounds like "introduce yourself" hm....
