I like Jon with longer hair when he was younger but now I think he needs to keep it shorter.

I'm not sure about that - I hated his short hair in 98. It just didn't look right on him somehow.

This is only my humble opinion of course, but I think this pic of him with short hair (when he was one of People Magazine's 50 most beautiful) is one of the best around. His power is definitely not in his hair

Yep, very nice picture Mel! Thanks for posting it. He tends to look a lot younger with the short hair but heck it's his hair so.....man, I know I'd hate it if people were always telling me what to do with my hair, lol!

I quite liked the short hair he had around the boxset era, looks better than the floppy thing he's sporting at the moment

I don't think anyone wants it to go to the extreme of how short it was in U571. It just needs tidying up.
I also liked how it looed for the box set - he just makes him look so much cooler than he does at the moment:
