No idea, sorry.

On a different note: every time I hear a performance like this one, I just feel like punching Jon in the face for picking up his stupid smoking habit in the first place.

Here you go: It was recorded on 1994-12-06

It was on the late night Leno show and it was aired sometime in January of 1995.

Well- it was 15+ years ago too. I'm sure he was smoking (something...LOL) back then. Time moves on, that'll change voices too. At any rate, great performance.

I think the song has WAAAY more power in its original key rather than the one they play it live.

Very good vocals indeed. Just feels very weird when you get to the bit where the solo is supposed to be and its not there...

I find it strange how you all praise this performance, when there are a number of notes he doesn't reach and in the end he doesn't even try to sing them anymore. Good tone, as it always was back then, but definitely not his brightest moment.

It's a different voice with a smoother tone. Even though he doesn't hit certain notes, he also doesn't sound like a cat in heat.

Alhough Jon had a great voice back then, it wasn't natural. After watching him struggle, you can see why his voice is where it is now 15+ years later. Smoking may be a factor but not the main cause.

Most rock stars lose it later on b/c most aren't natural singers. Compared to others, we actually have it good with Jons voice. I saw Whitesnake last week..... Forget it..... All I was thinking was, thank goodness for Jons voice.
