I could have used the original guitar solo from the song, there's even a bit of that as a background layer, but it's all done on purpose to convey a different feel.
I was looking for a more enveloping sound, but I think the result is not bad. I have a lot of mixes of this song with variations, tweaking and testing until get to this one.
In any case, The Circle has a great sound for me. I like the album version a lot, but I never liked shala la-hey. Maybe because the first time I heard the song was in that documentary leak before the album came out, and I liked it better that way.
