Jon definitely couldn't sing in 2013 (although he wasn't quite as bad as nowadays). If I want something from the "good old days" where you had Jon sounding fantastic (no rose-tinted glasses), this would be one of the performances I go to:

I'm not saying those days weren't better than now, but the Because We Can Tour got a loooooot of flack on this board.
Please no. I decided I wasn't going to any shows in 2013 way before Richie left due to horrible album + Jon's vocal decline since the end of the 2011 tour. The promo shows were average at most, zero energy, band going through the motions... the occasional song I saw afterwards only confirmed this (until I found some European shows)

There should be a law against posting any 2013 show. Just kidding heh

BTW speaking of 2013, I know the Metlife broadcast was rumored to be doctored but what about the Cleveland one? It was a really neat performance, in fact, I've rewatched it many times It has one of my favorite Sat Night performances ever, Jon was really feeling it lol. The fact that it was broadcasted in all its glorious HD quality probably was a big factor

Cleveland wasn't doctored since it really was a live broadcast. MetLife was streamed about 2 or more days after the shows had taken place.

End of 2011? This is a decline for you?

Bon Jovi - I Believe - Lisbon 2011
The energy was great, the tone had already been quite strained.
But I think you're just picky about symbeline's use of words since I'm almost certain she meant the decline that was very audible on the performances after the 2011 tour had ended. If I think back to the iHeart radio performance in 2012 - that was shocking to hear at that time.
