I personally HATE his nasal voice so any small decline is very noticeable and off-putting. Add a poor album to the mix and the fact that I'm sick of the GH setlist. A few good vocal performances and the occasional "not too played to death" album cut were not enough to justify spending money in a band going through the motions. I do admit that Jon didn't sound that horrible in hindsight, just... decent at most in some shows.
I'd be more than happy to have some of those European performances again, though.

Which I feel is another of the big reasons (if not THE reason) why Jon looks so uncomfortable now, he doesn't have that crutch-when he's not singing he's moving around, trying to find something to do, whereas before there was always the option of interacting with Richie. Compare any show where Jon is clearly pissed at Richie for whatever reason VS a show where they barely interact except when the script says so but when they do it, it's a great act. Which show flows flawlessly and which one doesn't? hehe
This is just my personal opinion based on my personal observations (disclaimer lol). I'm not saying "their relationship was fake!!!1!" at all, only that their interaction was a big part of the brand and it was their job to sell it convincingly.
