What I was thinking about was this version of I'll Be There For You - in my honest opinion, the best post-2k version of the song:

I was front row at that show! Yes, that IBTFY was amazing! It was my first band concert since the KTF tour (I did see Jon solo for DA). I actually snagged 4th row when I bought tickets, but when I got to the concert, I approached one of the front row security guards. I asked if I could have a front row wristband, and he said no, but he was really nice. Once the show started, about 5 songs in, he came and got me and gave me a wristband and stuck me in the front row. Luck was on my side that night.

I've actually never heard about that.
There was one of the half acoustic/half electric sets where NSG was placed in the latter part, but they still only did the acoustic rendition.
The last performance which I consider close to the electric one is from Jakarta 1995 where they started out acoustically and then the whole band joined in with Richie playing a proper solo:

As far as I could remember, Alec NEVER ruined any performance... I do remember him butchering a Faith Intro once or twice but not enough to ruin an entire performance.... Especially in the 80's...

A few months back when Jon started this current tour, there was some debate over Raise Your Hands being classified as a "hit"... Now it wasn't released as an official single and didn't get the same radio air play as NSG but it was definitely a fan favorite during that time... I lived through that Slippery era and being that everyone during that time owned the album or at least had a copy of it, radio air play wasn't even necessary for these songs to be known by the world... For real old school fans, Raise Your Hands belongs on a Greatest Hits album just the way Blood On Blood made it... When that song is played live, it's not a rarity... It's a hit...

It kicked off side two to Slippery and RYH was even used as the opening song in the movies Space Balls...

This was so great back in the day....and even more so because Jon didn't leave the stage. He even attempted a little lead guitar during the solo with Richie... Very cool...

Watch this and then go listen to an RSO song... It's the same sickness you get from watching I'll Be There For You from Philly 1989 and then watching the 2017 version...

Richie Sambora ft. Bon Jovi - Stranger In This Town (Denmark 1995)

I was just zapping around different IBTFY performances and came across from this one from 2006. I didn't know they actually played the TLFR version in normal arena/stadium shows, did they do this more often? Actually it doesn't sound that bad live, except for that synth solo. But the audience singing the "real" melody makes up for a lot

This was the version for the entire US portion of the tour. I'm not sure if it made it to Europe or not. It's craaaap.

It's like a quasi mash up of the original and the TLFR version.

RYH was included on the 2005 re-issue of Cross Road. It was a 2 CD + Live from London DVD box set named Deluxe Sound & Vision.

I know that it's playback, but it's so old and vintage that I love this video

Also why does this song was rarely played throughout their great years(up to 1993)? I mean I understand that this song was also a pig song to sing live but why did they rule this song out from the setlist? The song could have more great performances up to the KTF tour(already watched '93 at Buffalo so don't remind me). It must be that falsetto but just why man?
