Iīm also fond of Drive You Home and i like few others in different degrees.

Sometimes itīs the rhythm that connects you to a song, sometimes itīs the lyrics and sometimes the vocals. When itīs all connected, itīs a ****ing masterpiece.
Or it's not a masterpiece but it moves you. And that's enough

If Jon wrote the songs he likes, not the ones that could a chance at a commercial run, we wouldn't have *lyrics* like the ones in WWBTF, WAN, Knockout etc (to select a few of the most egregious ones). We'd have a BB meets DA kind of album that would tank, of course, but I'd bet anything I have it'd be decent, varied, personal and well crafted album. People always complain "Jon sucks at choosing the singles" and are convince that "a solo acoustic album would be his best ever" or something, but then you see the acoustic shows and the songs he chooses are those album cuts that could never be singles and at the same time they not acoustic-types. Those are the songs were Jon has put some thought on because they were not some throwaway simple tunes for the radio he wrote while watching some football on the TV.

That negates your argument by the laws of logic and statistic

Agree about IWDYH. The weird robot voices that some complained about (well almost everybody), fit the song in the album imho and sound fantastic acoustic. Great great great song.
What about Color Me In? I'm enjoying the acoustic version a lot. I think Real Love would sound great acoustically too. Blind Love is super bland in the album but I remember it made for a solid performance.

I was wrong, I have to admit. I didn't believe that Jon would sell an acoustic performance again. His voice and attitude were no longer suited for this kind of environment and it made me roll my eyes every time someone asked for an acoustic break in the middle of a show.

I still wouldn't pay to see this. The setlist is 20% meh and 30% I hate this song. But the ones I enjoy, I'm enjoying them without finding any faults.

Hey God Mohegan Sun 3-4-2011 - YouTube
Yeah, that show was totally insane! I remember reading the setlist of this show from setlist.fm back in the day (at that time I wasn't even aware of Jovitalk yet, let alone a member) and basically thinking "what the f*ck has gone into them...?????". Even back then I knew that the USA didn't get songs like Hey God or Living In Sin very often. Combined with some of the sets the band delivered in Europe the following summer (especially the last three shows), I was pretty much on a BJ high for the whole of '11.

Then came the Mohegan Sun gig in February 2013... and damn, did that hurt.

Up to this day, I haven't seen a worse setlist from them.

This setlist isn't so bad. It's got Wild Is The Wind, Water, WWWB and SIBSN. For me, this is worse:

LYHOM is one of the songs where I just wait for it to finish live most of the time. Maybe because I've heard it too many times live.
Anything with Wild Is The Wind is appreciated for me. That being said, I don't really count the February concert at Mohegan Sun as an official one for comparison since they just did it for the ones who were locked in at the hotel because of the blizzard.

Any live performances of Captain Crash where Jon sang the song happily like he did on the album version?
