I agree with this. I think Jon did what he thought he had to do and now - over time - he is more in line with who is really is.
To address what Eddie said about Bruce - Bruce is also himself. He has had a hell of a mental fight, especially as he has gotten older, with depression. When you see his quiet, introspective, Broadway show I think you are seeing Bruce as he wants to be seen. That doesn't mean that he doesn't like to cut loose and rock sometimes.
