I've been trying to keep track of him ever since I read somewhere that he and Richie were together for dinner or something in NYC. I know dinner isn't breaking news but it was still enough to make me go "hmmmm..." I probably wouldn't have thought too much about it had it not been right around the same time that Richie was also getting involved with Doc McGhee and Bob Rock; and I thought it was interesting that all these guys from the early days were crawling out of the woodwork at the same time. That's just the way my inner conspiracy theorist connects dots. It may mean nothing at all; but I'm still curious about what led Shulman to make the comment. Especially since Ori's making noise about a solo project coming out around the end of the year and Phil-X is tweeting about finishing up the Drills' album this summer and hoping to take it to Europe soon after it's finished. (Or at least that's what a friend who follows that stuff on social media tells me.)
