I remember this like it was yesterday... When Jon first went public with his short hair, it was a double shock because he didn't only cut it, he showed up with this over the top boy band hair style...

This was all before the internet during a time when things weren't overexposed... so you leave off remembering Jon at the Blaze Of Glory - Miracle video / Oscar - Golden Globes - MTV Award appearances / Count Basie concerts to this Ellen DeGeneres looking Jon Bon Jovi... In today's world everyone changes styles like its nothing but back in 1992, it was a big deal... Once he stopped that style and left if natural, it was much more accepting but man, it was a cultural shock.

Kinda like the grey / white hair today which I'm not against BTW, only when he looks like a homeless q-tip...

As a matter of fact, if Stranger In This Town was a commercial success, there would be a very good assumption that KTF could have been Jon's second solo album... Maybe not the end of Bon Jovi entirely but I'm sure the label would definitely take advantage of having two Bon Jovi Bands...

Speculation has it that the label may have actually pulled the promotion of Stranger in this Town because if it had succeeded it might have delayed the reunion of Bon Jovi (or even killed it, according to Tommy Marolda). The label knew they would make more money off of one album from an extremely successful rock band than they would off of moderately successful solo albums from 2 of the band's members.
