As the title says - this is my personal favourite performance of that song. There have been many, many outstanding ones on the New Jersey tour and many that might've been more extended or raw in terms of vocals etc.
But for some reason I always go back to this one: The intro speech is great with Jon telling the story about calling up Danny about the song and I also really like him altering the line in the first verse to "...and we swore that we'd be Superman!"

He seems to not sound that bad here, quality isn't that good though.

Bad Bame doesn't sound too bad either.

Yeah, here we have Jon "singing GREAT, sounding better than ever" (sadly, actual quotes promoting the upcoming legs of the tour)...

Please, tell me if I should laugh or cry for Jon's delusional self-confidence. His vocals will be increasingly bad for all the rest of his career, yet he somehow seems to think he's doing more than fine.

What happened to the perfectionist who used to say that once the band wouldn't be able to cut the mustard anymore, they'd quit?

Jon somehow tends to use "These days" when he can say "Nowadays" in interviews, etc. I haven't really noticed him saying "These days" instead of "Nowadays" before the TD album.

I don't Jon ever said anything like that... He doesn't want to be a washed up 80s band who only play 40 minute greatest hit sets during the summers at amphitheaters with other washed up 80s bands...

I saw the interview a week or so ago... and although I thoroughly disagree, I can't imagine him saying anything else... 'I suck and the band is mediocre' just doesn't cut it...

Regardless, I was arguing a different point... I don't recall Jon saying anything along the lines of quitting if he / they suck...
