wow, I've never seen this interview. What happened behind?
Given the sunglasses, possibly hungover as hell?

Jon has worn sunglasses in probably half of the interviews since HAND. But he seems like he is about to throw up at any second, so probably hangover or physically sick.

Jon and Richie at a shoundcheck in Monterrey 1990.
Does anyone know what they're singing?

In the end it's Living in Sin but with a very different melody.

I can’t believe it’s been almost 10 years since this performance. I remember watching the first videos from this show and trying to keep my jaw from hitting the floor ... I’d say that this, Hey God (Mannheim 2011) and I Believe (Lisbon 2011) were the last truly special vocal performances from Jon. The more I watch this, the more I’m grateful for being able to attend the last three shows of the 2011 tour ... Little did we know that we were witnessing the end of an era ...

In my personal opinion, Sydney night #3 was Jon's best show vocally as a whole since Bremen 2000. He hit one high note after another with such ease it was amazing, used rasp/his old singing technique on many songs, did random ad-libs and melody changes all over the place just like in the old days, etc.

I. MISS. THIS. JON.

https://youtu.be/q9RPebGaVyM (These Days; and to think this was the final song of the night - Jon really used to be the f*cking man...)
