It's My Life live has never done much for me (unless there in person). Seems to lack the punch of the recording

Same here. It's great standing in the crowd and singing along, but in terms of listening to recordings, they rarely got it across that well. My favourite IML actually is Richie's acoustic version from Rockin' The Corps 2005.

That's a pretty good shout for best performance. I also have a soft spot for the 2003 very Japanese sounding version, which is on Spotify as a separate single for some reason

As far as live goes, to me the 2001 SNL performance was the tops.

No idea why but I always liked the version from UK music hall of fame thing from like 2006 or so. The crowd loved it.

Cool find! It seems like Jon's voice gets a bit shot near the end of the song - pretty much all the other (Crush-era) promo performances I've heard of this song have been much stronger vocally.
