Jon sang a slowed version of Help also in 2005, i think he prefers perform this song in this way.

The had also gone for a much slower version in 1993 (in comparison to the original). However, that did sound great back then.

Pretty much the same version he's always done but in a lower key. This one is the ultimate:

Yeah, Help version isn't that much different. Just his tone isn't good.

Aloha !

That slow version of Help! the band started doing is a simplified cover of the way John Farnham and then Tina Turner used to do in the eighties.

Here says the Hampton concert was '90-minute performance with a few Q & A sessions'

It's also very obvious how much Richie completely zones out during most songs. He pays attention at the start, middle and finish of the songs to see if there'll be anything spontaneous happening but apart from that he's not there at all. Meanwhile, Jon can't get into the groove because his voice keeps failing.

Listening to this show also made me realize the Because We Can Tour was the first tour that had no peak in the middle but just got worse as the tour went on. Sure, some shows in Europe were more interesting but vocally it was nothing but a decline right from the start.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
