And then there was Bon Jovi, eager for another US hit, shifting toward country radio to replicate the success of It's My Life. While it worked domestically, the single flopped internationally. Meanwhile, the band was unraveling, with Richie struggling to perform, as Jon seemed more focused on profit than passion with 90% of the shows being done on autopilot.

If Jon would care for legacy he'd put in the effort to preserve the legacy as opposed to constantly acting as if he's ashamed of it. The same 15 hits, the same album cuts, tour after tour, night after night. 150.000.000 albums or whatever it is now, 20 world tours and not a single great live album, no great re-issues and even the box set strayed away from eighties material all so he could pretend he's more than an eighties jukbox act.

Fair, I didn't know it was already released in 2005, I thought it was only now getting released. My apologies

While one could turn your argument upside down with arrangements (Jovi did alter arrangements on TLFR and HAND tour), it was badly received by fanbase generally (and in big part it was due to voice deteriorating).

I am more lenient with Jon than you though, especially when compared to Bono Vox and such. I would say documentary is a valuable contribution to band's legacy. And I would hazard a guess that Jon today is much more humbled (by circumstance and age) than Jon the asshole of 2007-2011 cca. period. But it's true, it is really somewhat baffling why there's no really good live album out in all these years.

Perhaps let's wait a bit and see with new boxset and all the stuff online that was promised, perhaps in 2025? I mean, what else they get to do in years that follow than look back, with odd original material here and there? Having said that, I somehow understand Jon in those years with his rejection of "nostalgia", even though they are nostalgia act for at least 15 years now. (as is U2, as is any legacy rock act, even "new" ones I remember from just a decade ago)

Though I'm happy about anything we get ouf the archives, I've never been a fan of the band's "sterile" and partly unbalanced mixes (always liked FM broadcasts like Zurich 1993 or Hyde Park 2011 much more). Sometimes, I feel an audience tape captures the atmosphere much better. This show in Paris 1996 was killer in all aspects!

Setlist:
01. Helter Skelter
02. You Give Love A Bad Name
03. Runaway
04. Something For The Pain
05. All I Want Is Everything
06. Lie To Me
07. Rockin’ All Over The World
08. Blood On Blood
09. Damned
10. Bad Medicine
11. I’ll Be There For You (acoustic)
12. Wanted Dead Or Alive (acoustic)
13. In These Arms (acoustic)
14. Lay Your Hands On Me
15. I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead w/ Papa Was A Rolling Stone & Jumpin’ Jack Flash
16. Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night
17. Hey God

Encore I:
18. (It’s Hard) Letting You Go
19. Something To Believe In
20. Keep The Faith

Encore II:
21. Always
22. Blaze Of Glory
23. These Days

Encore III:
24. Livin’ On A Prayer

Encore IV:
25. This Ain’t A Love Song
