That speech is quite touching really, his loyalty and friendship angle works really when it seems so genuine, the problem is that these days it feels different. The music they make is still enjoyable but that earlier passion is replaced by a feeling of complacency, I know the guys deserve to feel like this after 25 years but you can't help but wonder what happened in Bon Jovi took a 5 year break and had to make another comeback.

Would we get a band who created their best music in years to compete against the modern acts and had a real drive to stay relevant?
Would we get Jon singing his heart out every night after years of being starved from performing?

It'll probably never happen but in the hypothetical situation, I think a break would do the world of good.

Agreed. Saw 3 shows at the very start of the tour, and the very last 3 and ALL of the LH songs improved dramatically.
