Watch that Squeezebox video to the very end. Watch the end of These Days. You'll see Jon shaking his left hand . . . like someone does when it's fallen asleep. Only he's been playing the guitar, so it isn't asleep, but maybe numb? I didn't notice this during the arena leg, but we saw it in NJ, and I've been noticing it ever since.

With regards to the hand shaking thing, 'These Days' is one of the few potentially painful songs to play if you don't play the guitar that often.

It doesn't so much hurt your fingers but having to make a full barre chord shape and play the verse chords in that position with the pressure required for all the notes to ring clearly absolutely kills the wrist. When I haven't played it in a while, it's the one song which causes a few aches.

I can't think it's anything other than that tbh.

Amen to that!, playing these days in the verse is a bitch especially on acoustic i get to "no one wants to be themselves..." in the 1st couple of verses and my hand wants to fall off!, glad its not just me.

These Days sounds really good. Boo to Jon that they didn't do it at any of my shows.
