There are some fans like me that don't want the Bounce period of the band to be ignored. Specially this song, Missunderstood. This is a very neat live performance of it.....
I'm in that group, too. Here's Blood on Blood live at Shepherds Bush.

I don't agree.

He's nailed it a few times this tour, whereas on the LH tour, even though it was still really really good, he sounded like he was in a bit of pain and would mumble the words near the end.

The only show where I felt like he owned it on this tour was the second show in Montreal. That was a great version. The others he skimps out on stretching out notes or dodges them- like he did in that Toronto version. Yeah, his voice would be strained sometimes on LH- the MSG or CP versions for instance aren't that good- but otherwise his delivery was a lot better.

Denmark 08

Amsterdam 08

Barcelona 08

To name but a few. Which is not to say there haven't been good versions this tour; again, the Montreal Night 2 one is fantastic and as good as any of those three from the LH tour. But by and large he seems to be singing the song a lot more conservatively this time around.

I personally thought Always sounded fantastic Toronto (obviously i'm only judging off YT videos!) but i'd say all in all he's sounding better this tour than last which itself is saying something!

I suppose it just goes down to opinion, mate.

Not saying the LH versions weren't great, because they were! Hearing it in Manchester was incredible and the best live song I've witnessed, but this tour, there have been versions that have suprised me in terms of vocals.

How about the version in Philly... during the day? I think that's the best version he's done since... ehh... 1996. I think his voice is more powerful now, but I do agree that sometimes he'll dodge the highest notes, like rhyme, but he's also doing it in the encore, which could make the difference. Either way... I think it's sounding great right now too.
