That's just Jon, not the band.

Sorry about the mis-information. I found the links right before I left the office, and I didn't watch them long enough to notice that Bobby was standing where Richie should be. My bad!

no don't worry Terri about just Jon (Butters said it's not the band I just confirmed that yes after watching both videos I could say that I saw just Jon) we should have known it though .. football = Jon
and also I am guessing assuming the other band members said NO to end their break that early

I was though much more wondering what the heck is stanford orange bowl.. what talks <obvious> to you guys is absolutely cryptic to me

I'm especially bad about that when it comes to American football. I was raised on the sport, because my dad coached it in high school. I know you Googled and filled in the blanks, but I should probably enlighten others. The Orange Bowl is a college football game played annually in Miami around New Year's. There are lots of other bowl games, too, and teams are invited to play based on their records during the regular season. The name "bowl" come from the old stadiums the games were played in: The Rose Bowl, The Cotton Bowl, The Orange Bowl, etc. They were shaped like bowls.

This year, Stanford University was one of the schools invited to play in the Orange Bowl. If I had to guess, I'd say that Jon was possibly hired by an alumi association to play for the Stanford fans attending the game and partying before and/or after.

trust me Terri none of the articles I googled was 1/10 as good as your clarification here ... you are way BETTER than google ! this is why I asked you first (I thought maybe you were still around , I didn't think you left work and were off the computer) as your explanation was not coming I had to google to try to understand but I totally got what it was about just 4 minutes ago when I read your reply

on the net we all forget that what is common and regular for me if not necesserally so for you ... I recall when Bon Jovi played london ontario during the lost highway tour ... because at first fans from canada said ... yeah they are coming to london ... you could see all the european totally stuck that all of sudden in the middle of the usa canada tour london date popped up ... .. it was not the right london ...all that blah blah to say what is obvious to me is not obvious to all and vice versa

for me about everything american football is cryptic even if it is explained so if it is NOT explained then imagine how much I am lost

John Elway is a Stanford alum and he and Jon are friendly .... so he may have asked Jon to do the party. I believe this was Stanfords first Orange Bowl. Plus Elway Just took a new job, he is taking over running the Denver Broncos, the pro team he used to play for. I think at some point he will buy the team from the Bowlens.
