These Days from Vancouver. The audio is from Jon's inner ear monitor mixed with audience audio, and the video is from audience sources. It's about as close to soundboard as you can get.

Same thing, but Mystery Train. Again from Jon's IEM, and this one sounds exactly like soundboard. No video, the only video I found were buttshots (which some of you may like). So I used a picture of a train instead. 'Cuz, ya know, the song is called Mystery TRAIN.

I like what you did there, but they're not sounding exactly like soundboards. Jon's voice is way too loud in the mix, and I know about what IEM mixes you're talking about. Great train though.

Is it really? I'd have liked to hear that source alone, thanks.

Thanks. I thought Mystery Train sounded quite a bit like a soundboard recording myself (though I know it's not). Jon is pretty loud, though. It's kinda cool with that mix, though. It can drive one crazy, though. Jon is REALLY flat in a lot of spots, and STBI from that mix is pretty ugly in parts. It does make me realize that Jon isn't a completely horrible guitar player, too.

I know. It's like I always suspected. As soon as Jon can't rely on technology his voice is horrible, and this has been the case since 1998 or something. The strange thing is though that he sings These Days better than he sings Mystery Train, even though the latter one is supposed to be easier.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Even for a seasoned band like Bon Jovi, practicing actually makes big difference. They've done These Days several times recently (going back to late 2010), and it's sounding better and better. Which is why it is disappointing that Jon gives up on Brokenpromiseland and This Is Love This Is Life after only one playing.

Awesome vids, Twinfan. It would be really amazing to get these kinds of videos from These Days performances that are actually good vocally like Argentina or Sydney nite 3. But thanks anyway, it's really nice, despite the fact that Jon's vocals had a night off in Vancouver.

I'd die to hear Stranger as well...I mean the original LYHOM is one of my favs but the way its done now is so flat and boring it's like a complete different song. Ok, a couple of exceptions where they spiced it up a bit, but still!

Stranger would be a dream!! We will just have to slap everyone who gets up to leave and problem solved.

I honestly prefer this to the album version, which is whinier.
