I wasn't there but, damn I loved Bon Jovi in 2008. I miss that era.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

As you will have seen, I am one of the ones fighting the corner of ''he doesn't have to move to be passionate'' but I do see the difference there. The guy is reaching down and really delivering that night.

That whole performance is just sheer class.

Me too! They were awesome in 2008, man. Jon looked and sounded young & fresh. His hair was the coolest it's been! They started changing up the setlists more and more. Such a good era.

In your opinion, at the age of 50, could Jon do that every night, every song, every show for the whole tour?

No. And I'm fine with that.

Right at the end of that video he was physically exhausted. And that was 5 years ago. There is no way he can put this energy into every song every night. I think he is taking the start to this tour cautiously. He is conscious of being burned out and at the age of 50 he aint no spring chicken.

I personally am very happy for Jon to maintain a level of enery so come the latter part of the tour he isn't completely burnt out. He's probably very conscious of his knee problems as well. Not many bands would carry on the tour after the lead singer had an injury like that. Jon's a proper trooper.

Not really youtube, although i found a pretty cool cover of because we can. Solid solo and a key change at the end. I really like it anyway, a lot more energy than the original.

Haha I like this one, it's over the top but kind of shows that the song is there somewhere, it's just that the entire way they build it up really destroys a good song. Stuff like this is what I'm talking about in regards to the melody having potential to be a good rock song. I don't think this is what I'd have done with it but it is better than the original.

Much better guitarwork than in the original! He created a very cool guitar intro. It's short but catchy!

Of course, the version is over the top but shows that Bon Jovi could have made much more out of this song!
