Man, this is EPIC and deserved its own thread but still, Bn Jovi at their top... Man how I miss those days (which I really didn't experienced since I was a kid in 1996).
My first Jovi gig, and the best. It was such an incredible night, I still remember Jon giving his speech before These Days and the sun broke from behind the clouds and he finished with "wherever your dreams take you, let the sun shine ok?" A brilliant moment for a 16 year old!

Always live at A&M Studios. B-side to This Ain't A Love Song single. Amazing version. One of my all-time favorites.

The speech before These Days at that gig is so epic.

A one minute clip of Bon Iver singing Bad Name. He was the original singer of the song Skinny Love (if anyone has heard that song)

It really is, things like that are the reason why I'm a fan.

Another one from that 1989 bar gig in London with Lemmy and Skid Row - this time doing Led Zeppelin's Rock 'n' Roll. Sound quality not the best, but it's the only time I see Jon Bon do a Zeppelin song.

good times...

That was cool.

Jon holding a beer and then getting another one towards the end. Let the gray summer begin...

Sebastian Bach is a microphone hog. He could have at least given him a verse. Bach was a singing machine during those time but just watching the band, you get why they are long gone and Bon Jovi are still around.

This show was played on the 18th August 1989. Two full years before the 'Grey Summer'

No, I don't get 'why'. Also, that was the second song played that night. The first, Jon did without Bach.

Lemmy speaks about that night in his autobiography saying that he used to hang out in the Hippodrome to hit on good looking chicks that were there for the pretty bands and it usually worked for him. That's how he ended up jamming with Jovi that night. Such a pity they didn't get to do Ace of Spades. Would've loved to see that.

The Jersey Tour burnout lead to the "Grey Summer". The summer of '89 was around the time of The Moscow Music Peace Festival and the tour ended 6 months later. Watching Jon pound beers on stage isn't something you see often. Aka welcome to the grey summer or the events leading to it.

It's so 80's. Jon never really had that cliché 80's vibe going on during that period. I mean a little cause of the times and more so earlier on but not during those times. I do see it more with Richie though.

It's almost like Jon was getting over it and ready for the next step while all those 80's bands just kept embracing it.
