Yeah - and they dropped this song WHY? It was an opener from 2000 until 2002 (basically 2 tours though it was for the same album). Everyone would have been familiar with it.

For some reason Jon is stuck on their earlier hits and then stuff from lost highway. Its like he has forgotten all of their songs from the 2000's.

That is a great performance but, for some reason any performance of that song before 2001 just feels so slow to me. They did the right thing speeding it up in the OWN tour....

It's a shame that they don't play it anymore! Instead we get Born to follow, Captain Crash and Who says every night.

What happened? This performance just gives me chills every time. This is the kind of passion I miss with this band, and Jons voice is fantastic. Oh, seems so long ago...

Age? I just don't buy the "Jon is lazy argument." He's talked in the past about using a vocal coach and learning how to warm up and warm down after shows. And I think he's way too proud and cares too much about his craft, to just let it go without a fight.

It's not just about the voice, it is the entire passion. The entire band is so into the song. But yeah, I guess passion and voice goes hand and hand. Nowadays Jon is struggeling way to hard just to hit the right notes, that the performances suffers with it.

I agree. This band is a little out of sorts right now.

Jon has been taking on more vocally since Richie left which could be putting additional strain on his vocals.

For example, Richie would take a verse during "Wanted" which gave Jon a chance to catch is breath. That is no longer happening and Jon is doing it all...

Jon doing Richie's line in Wanted is a good example but that's about it. I can't think of anything else he's covering for Richie and if anything it's Bobby or Hugh or David that have to work a bit harder. What other songs do you mean?
