Between solo shows and band performances, I've seen these guys countless times. I'd have to count my ticket stubs to get an accurate count but well over 50 shows at this point.
I have to say that besides the early Red Bank shows '90 '91 '92, the absolute best show I ever attended was on Thursday June 29th 2000 at the Convention Center in Asbury Park.
This is one show that I'd never forget. The place wasn't much bigger that a theater but it was designed for concerts. It was like walking through an old museum. It was old and not up kept but the craftsmanship was there. Knowing the history also helped.
I'll never forget walking in and it was like a steam-room because it was so packed. The acoustics were the best I've ever heard to date. Jon and the band were on FIRE. Besides the set-list, there was nothing staged and Jon was
not going through the motions. The Crush songs rocked and were actually enjoyable. Jon forgot the words to one of his songs and stops in the middle and says "I can't believe I forgot the words to my own ****ing song" I can't remember which one it was but I'll listen later. I think it might have been Bad Med but not 100% sure.
These are the set-lists I'd like to see Jon got back to. 17 songs of quality. Even of that means 1 song per album.
Anyway, here is the link. Swift through it and judge for yourself.
