Yeah. We're at a point where the tours are blending together and stuff like that is what's telling them apart for me which is a sign how stagnant things are going. The new songs are swapped out but it's the same tired non-hits getting plays with the occasional rarity (Something for the pain) becoming a standard.

Hijacking this thread once again - last night I met with Thierry and a few others in Bochum for the "Bounce & Orchestra" show. Bounce had taken one year to re-arrange an entire set with a 32-piece orchestra for this show and it was absolutely great!

Some of Thierry's videos:

Not bad but the lead singer has a thick accent. He's a good singer but don't think his voice fits Bon Jovi songs.

It actually does, he sounds different than Jon and doesn't try to imitate his accent, but it works very well. Though I agree that he really put on an extreme accent during the first verse on These Days, he usually doesn't to it that much (don't know why he did it yesterday).

I saw some of these videos on Facebook but didn't bother watching. Your post made me watch them now, I am glad I did. This is spectacular! I wouldn't mind if, from now on, Jon would just be lip-synching on stage and this guy sang behind the stage. He sounds great, especially on Keep the Faith.

Hi,

I found this version of Dimonf Ring and I first time heard it. When it was recorded?

In 1988. It was the demo version for New Jersey and they recently released it on the NJ Deluxe Edition

I'm sorry, while those arrangements are great and Bounce is a great band overall, every singer of every cover/tribute band I've ever seen (on YouTube) just sounds like a very cheap copy of Jon. Either they try too hard, they put on too much rasp, their voice is just too different, whatever - it's just not the real thing. I definitely prefer Jon over any of them at anytime

I'd prefer a young Jon over any singer as well, but this Jon:

over this singer:

Not so sure I can see where you're coming from - used to have a similar attitude and might be a bit biased since I've been knowing the guys from Bounce personally for quite some time, but to me Olli just has a distinctive voice on his own which isn't too close to Jon's but fits the songs well enough not to make them sound too alienating.
