Horrible analogy... Richie has been singing and backing up professionally for 35 years now so his attempting high notes is not comparable to any attempt that you would make regarding astrophysics. Just Saying

Overall, it wasn't a bad performance.

This is a shit performance!

That borders on a piss take

Back to richie, his vocals at that anthem attempt were shocking- you'd think that someone with such pedigree would be able to at least sing in tune

I wouldn't call it shocking, but it shows how much people have lowered the standards for Richie in the last 2 years. That high note in the end was OK, but the tone of his voice during the whole performance was very rough. If he sang like this in 2012 (not to mention, 5 or 10 years ago), we would be saying he really must've had a bad night. By 2014 standards, that was an above average performance for him. Really sad.

Fantastic performance of a underrated song.

Jon covering Bruce Springsteen's "Fade Away."

Woow ! This is awesome ! I wish we could have this in soundboard quality. This is the kind of stuff they should have released on the Special Editions CD's, not versions of songs that we already have.

The whole 2002 promo tour was awesome, including great shows in London and Japan. Jon's voice for the most part was stronger than Crush/OWN era and the band were firing on all cylinders.

Which makes me wonder what the hell happened just a few months later? Once the tour started Jon started sounding shit from the start, which pretty much lasted for 5 years. This is the first show of the tour in Sapporo. Compare this to any 2002 performance:

I was watching the Cleveland webcats and I can't help but wonder what happened with Jon from there ultil the european leg of the tour. His voice wasn't as good as 2010/2011, but it was far from the disaster that was the european leg.

Yup, listen to Always, he sounded really decent.

I wouldn't even call European leg a disaster; mostly because the real disaster came once they came back to the States in the fall and then went to Japan and Australia. He really got worse leg by leg.
