If you haven't already, chek out this interview! Richie said that they wrote around 34 songs for New Jersey but unfortunately we know only know 24 of them.

What are the 24? I think we know more than that? I have 30 songs in my NJ folder but that also includes House of Fire and The Boys Are Back In Town.

We know time periods but it's difficult to say if a song was written for a specific album. For example, a song like "Peace In Our Time" could have been a demo from NJ and given to Gorky Park. I don't know if the song was specifically written for them. Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Ballad Of Alice Cooper) was probably written after the fact but I still keep that under the NJ album.

Don't forget songs like... Fighter For Love, We All Sleep Alone, Rosie, In America, Etc... Cadillac Man was written for a movie but maybe that's in Richie's count. There is a also a song in AAA that Jon doesn't remember but he mumbles some lyrics and then finishes with "They don't know your name"

Finally, Jon gave some songs away that he never sang (that we know of) - So Close And So Far Away - Hall and Oats... There might be a few more too. I'd have to go back and look

I totally forgot about Fighter for Love and Peace in Our Time. I had no ideea that We All Sleep Alone was co-written by Jon and Richie.
Also i have to watch AAA again cause the only rare songs I remember hearing there were Fighter For Love and Keep Me Hanging On. And I also wasn't Cadillac Man written in 89? after this interview was taken.

The 24 songs that came into my mind are: Lay Your Hands on Me, Bad Medicine, BTBMB, Livin in Sin, Blood on Blood, Homebound Train, Wild is The Wind, IBTFY, Ride Cowboy Ride, Stick To Your Guns, 99 in the Shade, Love for Sale, Love is War, Backdoor to Heaven, Now and Forever, Judgement Day, Growing upt the hard way, Full Moon High, Diamond Ring, Let's Make it Baby, Love Hurts, Does Anybody Really Fall In Love Anymore, In America and Rosie.

Don't forget 'Drive' a DA B-Side.... I'd say there are about 40 song titles between NJ and Blaze that could be named. Some are unclear as to when, who and what they were written for.

Wasn't Drive written for KTF? The lyrics say ''When 17 has turned 30 it's all gone kiss it goodbye'' and the whole songs atmosphere seems like it's from 91-92.

Lyrically I agree with you, it fits Jon's dark mood that he seemed to have around 1991. Musically I always remain convinced that the song stems from his second solo era around '97, it just doesn't sound to me like it was made earlier.

I remember there being a discussion as to whether Outlaws of Love was from NJ or KTF era, too. That being said, Richie also might've referred to some songs that never left the notebook or didn't even make it to the pre-production process (there was one during the Bounce era where Jon confirmed something similar by stating that "it was too sad to even leave the notebook", but I can't remember the name).
