Sadly, that Jon doesn't exist anymore either... I've met Jon a handful of times in more recent years but still feel like I've never met him because that rock star above is the guy I wanted to meet...

Thanks for the upload, but I'm not a fan of the new intro. The screen is fine, but the music is not, it doesn't flow with the song and thus distracts the viewer. Just my 2 cents.

Speaking of performance itself, it sounded much better on the audience video. This what I sound like singing next to a song in a car. Pitch correction can only do so much, it can't correct an awful tone. Why am I still complaining about Jon's voice after all these months? Because in Philly, especially on Bad Medicine, it sounded like Jon was on his 2017 best and this recording just proves that his 2017 best is still god damn awful.

Just found this BJ tribute band. While their playing isn't overly impressive for me (I think "Richie" is pretty sloppy and "Tico" has basically no groove at all), the "Jon" of this band is actually quite good and makes up for the relatively lackluster backing. He's got the nasal voice (which normally isn't a big win in my books, but it somehow works here) and all the moves & mannerisms - he even does the legendary JBJ "jump" at the end of Prayer!

PS. Isn't it sad (even worrying) that an IMPERSONATOR sings Always better than Jon does today?

Pretty much any singer in a Jovi tribute sings 80% of the old tunes better than Jon does nowadays - that's hardly an achievement.
That being said - I think that this act is overall pretty bad. However, I've seen one in here in Germany (Crossroads I think) who were equally poor. Bounce and SOMA are tribute acts who are both able to play circles around this band (and the "real one" nowadays)...

I don't agree with this at all... Jon's tone and vocal delivery is distinct and those songs are built for it... Sure his voice deepened and his range shrunk but I'd still rather hear Jon sing these songs over a great tribute act, including your boy from Bounce... Saying they sing it better is an opinion... and maybe they are hitting the notes, but they lack the tone and delivery...

I knew beforehand that this answer was gonna come from you. And up to 2011 I would've completely agreed. But the Jon nowadays (live) doesn't even sound remotely close to the Jon that made this band famous. Neither the tone, nor the power or the ability to phrase certain lines are there anymore.
So yeah, my opinion is that BJ nowadays (even though I enjoyed their recent effort a lot) are not much more than a cover act of their former selves and there are just a few of them out there who I think sound better by now. Again, just my opinion!
