I don't really care if it's one minute, one second or one hour. The rules state No File Sharing of any kind. It's an extremely simple guide to abide by. Any further repeats of refusing to abide by this, may result in another ban.

Just bringing this post back to attention...

Didn't get any discussion when RD first mentioned it in 2015, but it's a seriously good idea. Doesn't have to be associated with the board (so it doesn't breach the file sharing rules) but it's a great way of easily accessing everything. The search function on here isn't exactly great, and it's obviously not practical to click back through 1000 pages of a thread.

If it is a private shared directory it could work. But when in final analysis it is open to anyone who is a member it is not so private anymore. And I think there would still be copyright issues, even with live recordings as -if I understood correctly- the rights of them also belong (or co-belong) to the record company.

No one is stopping ANYONE from opening a private file sharing community. It just can't be posted here. We're protecting the board by running things like this, it's just not worth the risk.

I noticed two things about the Bon Jovi fan community... They love Fee Stuff and could be stingy about sharing their collection... That's why I love the members who do share... Why have stuff if you are the only one listening to it?? Anyway, we did something similar with this current tour and ran into all sorts of issues... Some were purchasing / sharing more than others, some were taking stuff and posting it on other pages... and this was for stuff that's not even in demand... I couldn't imagine what this would cause for classic stuff... I think there is a site for people who want to share and it's called YouTube... That's where most stuff ends up anyway...

I adore those Dry County rants - a long time ago someone (Sara?) posted a transcript of all of them. They are wonderful.
