For me, the best version of These Days the band performed on the LH tour, and also the first one of that tour with Jon on vocals.

https://youtu.be/24_bkMcwL5k

And, before you start bitching about it not being on par with the Frankfurt version, I'd like to say that Jon absolutely nails the last "Ain't nobody left..." scream here. Just a little more than a week later he f***ed it up like a pro in Frankfurt, and even a couple weeks later, when his voice had warmed up completely, he pretty much hit the required notes, but sounded very strained and forced in Dublin/Punchestown. Yes, some of you may prefer the Frankfurt version just because Lorenza didn't do the solo battle with Richie at the end of the song, but Leipzig takes the cake for me.

PS. By the way, I recently stumbled upon some great quality videos from the last night at the O2 in 2010. Take a look:

https://youtu.be/yCqCE_qyCcg (Bed Of Roses)

https://youtu.be/2dm6UGRJK8k (I'll Be There For You)

https://youtu.be/y8U0UOlKMt8 (Diamond Ring)

https://youtu.be/0M1pqDH_n6o (Letting You Go - I know there's a pro-shot version of it, but I somehow prefer the audience recording, as it captures more of the atmosphere at the arena for me)

https://youtu.be/Za-lZf44Jms (These Days - one of the best post-'96 versions without a doubt)

This was the full set list that night:

1. Blood On Blood
2. We Weren't Born To Follow
3. You Give Love A Bad Name
4. Born To Be My Baby
5. Lost Highway
6. In These Arms
7. When We Were Beautiful
8. Blaze Of Glory
9. Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars
10. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
11. We Got It Going On
12. Bad Medicine (w/Old Time Rock 'N' Roll feat. Kid Rock)
13. Lay Your Hands On Me (Richie on vocals)
14. Bed Of Roses
15. Diamond Ring
16. I'll Be There For You
17. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
18. Bullet
19. It's My Life
20. Who Says You Can't Go Home
21. Keep The Faith

Encore:

22. Have A Nice Day
23. Wanted Dead Or Alive
24. These Days
25. (It's Hard) Letting You Go
26. I Love This Town
27. Livin' On A Prayer

And the feedback it got back then... "meh". WTF?????

I mean, just take a look at this f***ing set. There's the good ol' BOBITA (something that always used to drive about 97% of the Jovitalk members crazy even when the sets had already improved drastically), there's the badass ballad triple-shot (BOR, DR & IBTFY - all sung pretty much perfectly), there's the truly epic These Days double-shot (IHLYG & TD), there's Bullet, there's I Love This T... wait, never mind. By all means, feel free to complain if you want to.

All I can say is that I'd be more than happy with a set like this ANYWHERE. Even during the Circle/GH tour I would've been. Replace Crash with Older and ILTT with TAALS, and this would've been at the same level as the Lisbon set - at least for me.

Your post has this slight defensive and aggressive tone which I don't get. It's not like anyone was critizing you for liking that performance more.
I'd always prefer Frankfurt (maybe just because I was there and having it back to back with Damned was stunning) and I agree that he nailed the last high part in Leipzig, but he dodged some notes on other places and was shaky in the first chorus as well (plus he didn't go for the high "oh no no" parts). Still it was a very good rendition.

You probably weren't around in 2010, but the main criticism was that many fans saw the 10-night run as a missed opportunity. The setlist structure pretty much remained the same throughout the 10 nights and even though there were some great rarities here and there, they rarely really took a risk. It would've been a great chance to play some albums in full and when seeing the Let It Rock performance it's obvious that Jon's voice would've been up for pretty much anything at that point. Coming from the 9 previous shows this last one wasn't really spectacular up until the encores. Of course we'd probably all kill for that show nowadays, but back in 2010 the expectations were quite different (especially after the European leg in 2008 and night 7 of the O2 run).

When talking about favourite TD performances in 2010: My vote goes for Sao Paulo where Jon picked up the crowd's amazing energy by adding the "woohoo" parts at the end and Sydney. Both Jon and Richie made mistakes during that Sydney performances (Jon even shouted "C!" to Richie when entering the bridge and then missed a note himself), but the delivery of the 2nd verse was the most intense I've seen since 1996.

I'm sorry - I didn't mean to appear aggressive nor did I think anyone was criticizing me for preferring the Leipzig version of TD over the Frankfurt one. I just wondered how that kind of set could be rated as a relatively mediocre one (even considering the rarities the audiences had gotten during the previous nights), as while the set didn't have Something To Believe In, Hey God or Wild Is The Wind, it still was a solid set even for 2010. The "WTF?????" was actually a joke and certainly not an aggressive/impolite/angry remark.

PS. I agree with you about the Sao Paulo performance - it was simply breath taking. And actually, I was around in 2010 (not on Jovitalk, though) as a huge Jovi fan already, but back then I didn't really pay attention to the set lists (I was only 10-11) and couldn't care less if the shows I attended didn't get any deep cuts from KTF or TD. Then again, the shows in Helsinki '08 and '11 didn't get any real rarities (except for WITW in the latter one).

That Leipzig performance is really good but Frankfurt is still better, IMO.

What was JBJ thinking having the violin played during These Days, though?!

I love this early performance of Make A Memory at the Cannery Ballroom (I believe it was before Lost Highway was even released). Just Jon, Richie, their harmonies, and their acoustic guitars. Good times . . .

mehh......same old same old.

The only valid reason I ever heard was that Richie really wanted to do different music. I believed that at first (in 2013) but this is more than 4 years later. Where is that different music?
