Cats on a Smooth Surface were the house band for 15 or 20 years at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park. They are still playing around locally but the lineup has changed many times over the years.
Bobby Bandierra started out with them in the late 70s to early 80s. From the early 80s on he has been with Southside Johnny - and still is unless he is touring with Bon Jovi.
