Oh well, you can't please everyone. The people there seem quite happy.

I can't wait for Kathleen's review tomorrow.

The little part of me that died when he lowered the chorus to Radio Saved My Life Tonight came back to life when he did Bad Medicine/Shout. I jumped for joy when he did Garageland.

I have to agree with Mousebounce. I don't think he did so bad. Prayer was good too. I don't even like that song. Okay, so I like it I'm just sick of it.

Your intelligence is astounding.

I am just as entitled to my opinion as you are, and you trashed mine. Maybe we could show each other a little respect.

Since you're using the whole "what kind of fan are you?" angle, I am a very devoted one. That's why I take to heart a lot of what I see and hear with Bon Jovi. Otherwise this vocal issue wouldn't bother me as much as it does.

Just left the show, am outside using my laptop and smoking, it's a madhouse inside. For anyone who thought Jon's singing was off I'm afraid i have to diagree he was in excellent voice tonight all I can say is that the sound on the webcast must not have been great because live he was in great form. The show was superb one of the best I've seen in awhile the guys were having so much fun!!! Tico rocked and Jon looked like he was having a blast playing drums.

I haven't come here for ages. Now I remember why.

Jon's vocal performance overall was wonderful. He is a wonderful singer. Period. The only thing that I didn't like was the way they did Radio. Obviously they rehearsed it this way. And it just didn't sound right. If they ever perform it again, they should redo it.

The other new songs (and old songs) were great.

I think that Jon sounded great and it looked like he was having a blast. So did the rest of the band.

He did struggle a little on prayer, but so what? It's not the end of the world, or his voice. He has his bad days and good days. He has his good points and bad points regarding his voice, but way more good than bad.

His voice has matured a lot and I think that's what makes his voice unique. That is why I prefer his to Richie's. It is not a matter of hitting the high notes that makes a person a good singer. Richie may have a wider vocal range and can hit the high notes, but to me, Jon has uniqueness and soul to his voice that gives feeling and emotion to the songs.

I would have to agree.

A lot of songs have been slowed down, especially the new ones, but also Everyday on this performance and Jon sang a lot of songs an octave lower. I also saw Richie having troubles with that, because he has to sing lower than as well. You could hear that quite good on Miss Fourth Of July.

Jon has to quit smoking and get in shape. His voice has taken a lot over the years, but therefor be carefull with it. It's okay to slower down some songs, like they did after 1993 with songs like Bad Medicine, Runaway etc., but it's not okay to sing like this and this show was mixed very good (except for the Richi's solo in SWID).
I don't think his voice has matured; it has gotten worse. Richie's voice matured: he can put a lot more feeling into it, also because of the fact that he can hit a wide range of notes.

They completely f*cked up Radio... Jon sang it like he had never heard of singing a chorus higher than a verse and the song was played so slow. Geez, what were they thinking?

I also didn't understand why they played SWID? Why did they pick that one? This was not a hit and frankly, I don't like the song very much when it's not played in the shape of a medley with other songs. Why not a real hit then or the demo version of SIBASN? And why not play Edge Of A Broken Heart? Jon's always talking about that fact that it should have made the record; that it was his fault; that it could have been a great hit and that with this boxset we've finally gotten the song. Or the new song Have A Nice Day?

Also 19 songs, including Shout, for that much money? Or did they cut out some songs in the webcast?

I'm sorry, but I cannot help feeling disapointed. I expected more boxset songs and better vocals from Jon. I also hoped that all band members would sing there solo songs of the boxset. Richie's for example is so great!

I am watching the rebroadcast on tv and it sounds good.I think the setlist is the same.My question is whether or not the first songbegan from the beginning or the middle. If you don't like Jon's voice don't attend any other Jovi shows.

This is my point of this thread. The song is not as enjoyable when it is altered this way. The chorus of a song is supposed to be climactic, and when you lower it like that, it ruins the whole flow of it. A chorus has gotta have more guts than the verse. There's no reason why Richie can't sing that lead and Jon harmonize the lower part. It would have sounded 100% better IMO. I respect the fact that mnay of you enjoyed it and had no problems with his voice, but it's just not the same for me. To listen to a kick ass song like "Radio" and get a rather blah performance isn't hot.
