Not only that, but.... although I haven't heard the album yet, the general impression I get is that it's better than Crush. Kerrang! actually gave Crush 4/5. Strange....

Yep! I remember when Kerrang! practicaly kissed the ground Bon Jovi walked on. They acknowledged that Jon had been on the cover more than any other person by putting him on the cover again! They used to have several interviews a year. Are new people in charge or what? I don't get the magazine locally, and don't bother seeking out a copy unless Bon Jovi is featured, which they haven't been in a while.

Howdy again again

Phil Alexander used to be Editor of the mag, and I've seen several publicity shots of him and Jon, and have read things he's written about the guys, so I think he must have been friends with Jon or summit. But a little while ago he became Editor-in-Chief, and Paul Rees became Editor. Now its, um, yeah, um, crap....

i used to read k! every week. it appeared to decline with the advent of nu-metal etc... bon jovi aren't 'hip' enough to be within the hallowed covers of this once great mag. The review of the album is a total disgrace with songs such as 'the distance' and 'right side of wrong' being some of the strongest lyrical work the band has produced to date. In a time when it is 'cool' to think that people = shit, and the best form of guitar work is to rag the sh@t out of it, then perhaps it is good that the album got a bad review as it shows that jovi are steering clear of the bollox that is passed as rock from some (emphasis on some, not all) of the modern bands. Long live jovi, leppard, maiden etc....

UK, get ready to bounce!!!!
