Thumbs down

I usually plan to buy tickets everytime Bon Jovi plays Pittsburgh, and had a great time at Heinz Field, however, I don't plan to buy tickets this year. Although I really don't like the venue - Mellon Arena, the price of tickets clinched my decision not to go this year. My daughter would love to go again this year, she's 13 and has been to 3 Bon Jovi Concerts. We always enjoy going together, but not this tour.

I agree with most of what you said, I went to one night at Prudential and although I'm not into all the country stuff I still had a decent time. As far as the extra musicians go though, since when have you heard Wanted or These Days played with violins? I think that's what bothers people most. Any song they can possibly add violin too, they do. I really don't even know what to say about Bobby, the only time I really even noticed him was when Jon introduced him for his "solo" during Any other day. He just seemed like wasted space.

Uhm, i really dont want to spoil you looking forward to your birthday, but out of the "big" cities in Germany, Frankfurt wold be among the ugglier ones, allthough its not totally uggly cos its got some nice places near the Main (the river that runs through it).
I went to the Commerzbank Arena last summer to see the Stones and the sound was really not good. Its the main reason why I chose not to go and see BJ in Frankfurt. Heres hoping for everyone who is going that the sound will be better!

Yes - our manners are impeccable here I'm not one of the ones doing a whole lot of complaining but I'm with Seb on the setlist issue. I'm not fond of the violin in classic songs either. Jon said that he learned a lesson with TLFR - don't mess with people's memories (I was there when he said this) but now he is messing with people's memories in a different way and as you can tell it's not going over well.

I'll have a great time this summer (not June - probably July) since we were promised Giants shows at the last Prudential show. That coupled with some probable Bruce shows will make a great summer for me.

It will be even better if some of the european contingent here save their money and come for Giants again too

There's some discontent about it showing up on their boards. Not as much as here, of course, but I have seen several threads.

BTW, there have also been a couple of threads about how great the These Days album is. That surprised me. (I'm new over there.) So, if "they" like it and we love it, WHY CAN'T WE HEAR MORE OF IT LIVE? Sorry to add to our obsession with These Days. (I'm listening to the bonus disc right now. How's that for obsessed? Watching football but listening to BJ's best!)

There was a really good post on BS about it being more like "JBJ and his mates than JBJ" and they didnt get shouted down all that much for it.
