But, I wonder what the status of Jon's voice was .
Well it was New Jersey era, so I'd imagine his voice was top-notch!

You say that, but on the video I watched last night on Youtube of Lay Your Hands On Me from Milton Keynes 1989, he doesn't actually sound all that brilliant .... of course, he is also moving about like someone set his trousers on fire, so maybe that explains why

It was during this period that he was having steriod injections to keep his vocal chords going, and therefore his voice was probably in the worst shape of his life!

That wasn't New Jersey era but SWW era and tour when he destroyed his voice and wasn't able to sing anything. Listen to concerts of Jersey Syndicate tour - Jon's vocals were great!! He probably learnt how to use the vocal chords.

thx!
go to planetrock.co.uk. on that home page if you scroll down there is a little picture of jon's face. above the pic it says 'listen again' and it should automatically open a window and it buffers quickly then starts playing (for me at least!).

on a separate issue i heard WTWYA on planetrock today.....planetROCK...WTWYA? (planet rock usually plays proper classic rock, black sabbath, led zep, jethro tull etc etc not 2000s pop/rock jovi)
