Oompas no more?

Why do I think they are interns?
One becuase a friend of mine did an internship for RCA several years ago and this type of "job" is the kind of thing that interns do.
Two, somewhere in the Q&A not too long ago one of them in an answer said that the college credit was so not worth the abuse they get.

You don't really think this is a regular professional job do you?? Come on who wants to do this everyday? Plus I can't imagine the label paying a real salary to have someone sit in front of the computer and answer fan questions all day.

My point about it not being their fault is that they do not have direct access to the band or its personal staff. Should they check their facts? Yes, but if you were 20 something doing an internship= little or no pay because it's for credits, are you going to get off your butt and double check the fact book? Make sure it's up to date? I don't think so. Especially since while one would assume they were music lovers, hence the internship with a music co. it's doubtful that all or even many of them are ardent BJ fans, which= they don't care!!! They use the fact book they are given have some fun being sarcastic now and again and go on about their lives. keeping all of us content is probably not high on their list of things to worry about.

I didn't think this is a regular professional job. However, it could be part of the task of updating the website. Those people are payed, and it could be that the people who do this are actually people who "think" they know a lot of Bon Jovi.

I don't think they're regular interns though. Those people don't know anything about the make of Jon's jeans and all that stuff. I don't know who they are, but they certainly haven't got a clue of what the function should be. There are a few people around here that know a lot more of the stuff that's going around there.

If it would be part of my internship I wouldn't answer the questions I'd have no answer for. I would not make up an answer, or answer the same questions every time again.

I think it makes sense if they are college kids because an adult would hopefully just ignore the demanding questions and think I dont have to answer that , rather than crying about all the demanding all the time. I can understand it must get frustrating but they should ignore it.

there are for sure 2 categories of oompas .. the ones from the RC and the ones from BJ management the ones from bj managment are there since day one .. but at the moment they are off .. maybe vacation maybe they are just off because they CANNOT work as they cannot answer questions until the band is ready to share so the best thing to dois to be dead ....they will get back to life (bjmanagement oompas) as soon as there will be stuff they can share with the fans ... bettre than saying we have nothing to say all the time they left ... making the fans fell guilty to have been that bad we made them left but what could they do ? they neededa reason to be off some times.. they found this .. the fans are all PITA :P

Maybe a (not very funny) joke, but they were trying to let people know something about them since they're probably not allowed to say who they are.

you make a point here about the interns oompas that are doing a job not that interesting (they are clearly saying that their job don't worth it) but i am still sure that among the oompas there is (are ) ppl from bj management

i think the oompas are pissed for it said "no question on th new album cause info will be provided blablabla..." so there's two ways i see: a) the oompas are dead (big loss for the bj world....) b) the oompas don't answer questions til info is provided (saturday )

I still don't think we will get any INFO cd related on saturday ..I know I am pain to be so pessimistic but for me Vegas is definitely NOT a Jovi thing ... they will be paret of the event ... nothing more

Mimi why can't you just hope for something? Maybe it's not gonna happen but can't we hold out SOME shred of hope???
