this sounds like the type of thing the band's management have decided... what's the point in scarring an already tarnished band's reputation by capitalising on the war with record sales?
Well, it's not. The fans came up with this. And it doesn't have to be a brand new CD if THAT'S what you're worried about, for God's sake. They have cheap, "used" Bounce CDs that are still shrinkwrapped at Amazon.com.

But why send the troops anything? Why send them cameras or flashlights or candy or dental floss? Why do they need it? Well these people, these HEROES, are over there fighting so many of us can have the PRIVILEGE of watching TV or browsing the internet. They're human beings, and human beings like music. Maybe some of the troops are not Bon Jovi fans, but it's not like we are forcing them to listen. Bounce is full of much needed optimism and might serve as a motivation. We want to send them a gift and you're basically denouncing it. Good for you.

And no, if you told me to shut up I would not shut up. Then again, I never *told* you to shut up, I told you to simply IGNORE it if you had any negative opinions on it. Everyone knows you don't like Bounce. Everyone knows you think Bon Jovi is a tarnished band. I guess the only reason you did post was not to inform us of your opinion, but to start something.

What is truth? What, you want a f*&^ing dictionary? Truth is a word that, for me, cannot be defined. It's a feeling, a sentiment. You figure it out.

Isn't this a FAN based idea? I didn't think the band or their management had anything to do with it.

Yes, it is Becky. The band, BJM, Backstage... they had NOTHING to do with this. This is not a promotional stunt by any means.

The stupidity of fans over at Backstage has reached its all time high.

They want to pay US troops (who are not heroes but brainless zombies who follow orders and kill other people in the process) additional money for killing innocent people and trying to occupy the land and steal its oil.

This must be a start of a new revolutionary CDs-for-oil program.

I think it is a great idea.

The troops' morale is probably pretty low. Especially in this war. Those guys need to know that people think of them, care about them. By sending anything you show them that.

If you don't want to send Bounce - fine - send them something else. Just show them you care. (Well, if you DO care.)

I think this response is laughable.

Does everyone who goes to serve our country end up picking up a gun and shooting someone? NO!! I can't even believe the idiocy of that comment!!

FYI: People all around the US are sending in music CDs. And I highly doubt that this operation will end up bringing in thousands and thousands of Bounce CDs. We're talking only several hundred, if we're lucky. It's not like every single troop is going to own a Bounce CD.

Let's let our troops know that we're their for them. Like I said before, they are human beings and PEOPLE LIKE MUSIC.
