Why would this need the band's approval? Is it illegal in any way, shape, or form to send a CD to the troops? No, in fact many people encourage it.

I can't speak for Bruce. But I thought that comment about patriotic upheaval was funny. Isn't bruce causing enough patriotic upheaval with his new album? If I were Jon and I learned that Bounce was helping to inspire and motivate some troops, making them feel loved and cared for, then I'd be very proud. Not upset because I was ripped off, by any means.

Please, please understand the US/British troops are victims if this war as much as the Iraqis are. They have no other choice. They do what Bush says. Because Bush is elected by American people.

It is Bush and his government you should be angry with if you disapprove. Fight them. And troops need our support. They are innocent victims of the war.

It's not like they can simply go and buy a CD. People all over the united states are sending in CDs. Is that too hard for you to understand? That maybe our troops would like to listen to some music? Out of the thousands of troops that are fighting, I'm sure several hundred of them won't mind listening to Bounce. And if you want to send them a book, then send them a book for CRYING OUT LOUD. No one is forcing you to send Bounce. Go reread the original post and tell me if anything I said made it sound manditory.

I know more than you care to find out. It doens't take a friggen rocket scientist to figure out that a casualty of a loved one won't cause hurt.

you seem to think the troops are manicaly-depressed, lonely and that they don't feel anyone in the world loves or cares for them

get some perspective for god's sake - they are trained... it is their profession - they know people love them - families, friends...

the war has been on less than 2 weeks - they could have gone and took a cd with them idiot

I'm sure several hundred of them won't mind listening to Bounce.
