To have different opinions is one thing, to express such hatred towards the band and put people down is quite another. I've never seen/heard such negative comments, even from people who don't like Jovi, they are just not familiar with what the band is doing. I come here to share and learn new things, but the place is quite depressing sometimes.

Where do you see hatred or "such negative comments"? All I see are people expressing their opinions. Granted, some people resort to personal insults (both for and against the new music) when they run out of reasonable arguments, but still, I don't see any hatred here. Everyone here is a fan and is entitled to their opinion, whatever it may be.

If you're happy with what their doing now, fine. I'm not. And I'm allowed to voice my opinion, just like you are. Don't come here telling others they should "shove off" or shut up or whatever. If you don't like what you see here, you're free to go somewhere else. I, and many other "old" fans won't settle for just "ok" stuff. We've lived the time when Bon Jovi produced quality albums one after the other. Why shouldn't we expect the same now?

It's like saying the sex was once great, now it's almost ok, but you shouldn't expect anything more after 5/10/15 years. That's not the way it goes.

If you're not keen on the new stuff fine, but telling everyone all the time does'nt mean you can have a fun uplifting conversation about the band and their music, it shows arrogance and disrespect to wonderfull musicians.

Everything moves on, this band bleed for what they do, even now when they dont need to, they do it through passion, granted, im not a fan of all the new stuff but i still appreciate the fact they continue to push themselves thus keeping things fresh and new for us all.

It amazes me that the ones who dont seem to like the new single have already written the whole album off, how small minded and arrogant is that.

If you want another These Days, may i suggest you go and put on These Days, smile, enjoy and be happy, for me, and hopefully many others, il look forward to progressing onto the next chapter of this amazing band.

What? Please, try to use punctuation, I can't understand anything. Fun, uplifting conversation is mostly useless yapping about nothing. I prefer coversations between people who have something to say.

How do you know if the "bleed" or not? I hate it when people start "defending" the band, like they need any defending to begin with. Just tell me what do YOU feel and like, not what you think you SHOULD say "as a fan". Don't try to speak for the band, when you obviously don't.

You appreciate freshness, I appreciate great songs. I don't care if they do a SWW Part 2 as long as the songs are great. If they release something "fresh" that doesn't move me, I'll voice my opinion here.

Show me where someone has done that. I'm hoping the album will prove me wrong, I really am. But after being disappointed so many times by the band, I'm not holding my breath. But I haven't said a word about the album so far, only that this single and the soundtrack song are nowhere near the "big riff rock record" Jon told us this would be.

I don't like These Days, it's too depressing. I'm hoping the next album will be Bon Jovi's best, like I always do. Too bad I've had to be disappointed so many times.

Thank you - that's exactly it. I never bash music just for the sake of bashing - I love music far too much to do that. On the other hand, let's have a little honestly. Sycophants would be better served by posting on the backstage board.

Best way of describing exactly how I feel on it. Can be applied to music in general today for me to. Gosh I miss the great sex songs, that get your heart beating from the start, build to that climax and leave you laying there wanting more when it is over.

I appreciate your reply, but don't intend to name people or dig through quotes. All I'm saying is that some of the stuff I've read here is shocking. I like to come here to read news about the band, but avoid posting. Don't like the idea to be attacked and by whom? Fellow Jovi fans, who are supposed to understand what it means to be passionate about the band.

I sometimes "overanalyse", which may sometimes make me seem negative and other times like a giddy fangirl. But if I am guilty of overanalysing Bon Jovi, the reason I do it is because I truly, deeply love the band. I'm passionate about them. I want them to get the best out of themselves. I want to be moved by them and to bleed with them. I do enjoy most of what Bon Jovi has released (including the last 10 years), but I know most of their work from this decade is nowhere near their best and I can't pretend that's not a little disappointing.

Some around here are guilty of trying to do so to others, yes.
But many, like you, are showing that they've got what I think is common sense. Well said, once again.

What soundtrack song please? From the documentary's titles?

And Ice, I have been here almost from the beginning and it is still shocking at times what can be read here. And no, I won't search for examples.

absolutely right......i'd like them to forget what they really are,and just put out a raw rocking record that pleases them and not something that tries to please the fans[quite contrary to what most of you believe they are doing ]..
and by "rocking" i dont mean huge riffs that sound more like slipknot, but songs like dry county, wanted, and awesome rawness of flesh and bone, garageland[now why the hell were they not on an album].

and i dont feel embarrased to let my buddies listen to some post 2000 songs, they make me listen to u2,coldplay n linkin park too.
