Default Overanalysing Bon Jovi?

As most of you know, I'm a guy who does pretty much like most of the things the band has ever done. To some of you that makes me a "blind follower" but to me, shit, it's just means I like this music a lot.

The new single's really grown on me and while it has its flaws, I think it's the best single they've released this decade. But I always enjoy something new from Jovi when it comes out, the proof I guess is how often I listen to the full album afterwards (lost highway none at all, HAND a lot)

If this single had been released in 1999 before I'd been on the internet, I wouldn't have questioned the songs flaws. I may not have even gave a thought about why there was no guitar solo. And I'd have gone on my merry way just enjoying the song for what it was, probably not even comparing it to the other Jovi stuff, just as something new from the band I love.

So I guess my thoughts are - is analysing each track in every minute detail actually spoiling what the music is or should be? Are we guilty, in our own different ways, of destroying the thing for us that brought us here in the first place?
