Yeah - agree with you. Phil X is great. Love watching the bastard and he plays like a crazy man which I really enjoy. Also, I'd give a lot to see a Jovi show made up of the 80s albums only and see him shred the hell out of those solos. But as soon as we're stepping into the 90s...the man lacks some of the feel and sensibility. Dry County is the perfect example where feel and technical capabilities are perfectly balanced. And that's why Richie is a guitar hero and Phil X is just an EXTRAORDINARILY good session musician.

I actually remember an interview with Jon (maybe fan-asked questions?) and he was asked exactly that - what one song would be on his tombstone. His answer was Prayer.

Just noticed on http://www.philx.tv/discography.html, Phil calls ''Living on a prayer'' one of the greatest songs ever written, and he says how ''killer'' it was to be in Jons house jamming with him and Tico etc. Plus all his tweets sound like he's having a great time.
The guys a fan, but obviously like a lot of us here..probably isn't too crazy about the newer stuff. But then again, he's jammed for a lot pop artists too, so who knows, he might love BWC for all we know.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

On this video he showed me, Phil says at the beginning "It was played by Richie Sambora... you know how I feel about that, but we won't get into it", among other things.

Does anyone have an interview where he talks bad about Bon Jovi? Or Richie? Or what's the story about this? I just can't understand why somebody would make fun of a band and then would play for them.

very easy, $$$$$

Once again, another insightful post from yourself. Yes, of course money is a factor, but as stated before Phil is a fan of the music, at least the older stuff. And who wouldn't want to play to arenas full of people?

hi guy,
you say right. His attitude toward their responsibility shows such like of behavior of Bon jovi.Money is not every thing but something,we must take first of our loyalty to our duty then money prefer. Most of songs are very good but the need is to purify.
