why would one put such a poster on the wall? those posters are clearly designed for middle-aged women who don't get enough sex...

...or maybe it's just me who sees it this way. I am a BJ die-hard. I have a HUGE "I Believe" poster on my wall and another band poster on another world. But if I went to a guys' room and saw the Bounce poster you are talking about, I would also question certain things ...

Yes.I think it depends on the type of the picture. Band poster in a guy's room is ok but I will never put a pretty Jon Smiling poster on my wall.

Yeah - I'd say it's a safe bet.

I admit, I wasn't crazy about putting a couple of those posters up. The one from it looks like, 1985, Jon with his black vest open. I wanted to cover the entire walls and I bought all the posters I could find.

In a weird way, I actually wanted to put that one up there. I know Jon doesn't like poses like that himself, but I always felt as though it was an intrical part of his history. That's why I put posters up from every different album.

My logic was, my friends know I'm not gay. Who else would see the room? And if anyone did think that, what do I care?

I really don't see that your taste in music has anything to do with your sexual orientation or who you like to sleep with - and it's a cool room Dan.

Maybe people will be comfortable enought with their own sexual orientation that by the time your twins grow up that they won't hear things like that.

Thanks!

Yeah, if I were a big Blues Traveller fan and had posters of John Popper all over the wall, I don't think it would ever come up.

I think you got me wrong. What I meant was more related to the content of certain posters. Some of them, meaning the Jon's face close-ups, were designed in such away that they don't necessarily appeal to guys. It's like truck cabins. You'll always find posters of naked chicks there. Same with some of this JBJ posters...they were made for groupies, no way for rockheads whereas certain posters were obviously made for rockheads as well...see the railroad one or the one where they stay in front of the Harley Davidson...

Once more, posters have certain target-audiences. I wouldn't have expected a 30 year old guy to be part of the "groupie" target audience. But since you enjoy the room, nevermind...I know I wouldn't...although I admit, some of the posters kick ass and I'd love to have them.
