Wow. a new one on those songs. Honestly, they are tough to hear. The bootleg wasn't very good. Lots of talking. Shadow dancing was pretty upbeat.

Gimmie Some, I really like. Very Southside Johnny/bar rock song with big horns. Rockin' song.

Hopefully I'll come accross the songs @ somepoint. I enjoy the The Sole Truth. how would you say the sound quality is compared to that, is it better or worse? also can you provide any background to "the sole truth"?

I know The Sole Truth was written for KTF, one of the "grey summer" songs Jon has talked about so frequently.

I have an mp3 of Gimme Some, a fun song nothing more. Some very cheesy lyrics but an interesting listen nonetheless...

I've actually never heard the sole truth but even if I have, the time period is so different to the sex sells songs, it's irrelevant. I really do like Gimme some though, it's very high energy, fun to sing along to.

I was actually wondering if they were as listenable as the sole truth? As far as the sound quality. You said the crush leftovers were hard to listen to. The sole truth has some background issues as well, but I still enjoy it.

Shadow Dancing and Good Ain't Good Enough are hard as hell to make out. Gimme some, on the other hand, was recently (recently as 2004) was put online by Obie, as the studio version. So the quality is as good as any other BJ song.
