I disagree about the tenth tracks being some of the poorest. I think they're pretty good, some of them may not be the best, but they're all good.

7800 Degrees Fahrenheit- Secret Dreams - I've never heard it, it's the only album I've never heard.
Slippery When Wet- Wild In The Streets - Not the best on the cd, but it's a great way to end it. It's a fun song.
New Jersey- I'll Be There For You - This couldn't be called bad at all, it's a Bon Jovi classic!
Keep The Faith- I Want You - I don't know why a lot of reviews I've read don't like this song, it may not be their best ballad, but it's a good love song.
These Days- Something To Believe In - Amazing song
Crush- She's A Mystery - ... I'll give you this one, worst song I've ever heard by them.
Bounce- You Had Me From Hello - It's fairly good, not amazing by any means, but still not bad.
Have A Nice Day- Complicated - The lyrics are kind of cheesy, but I still like it.
Lost Highway- The Last Night - I like this song, it's got a good beat to rock too and the lyrics are pretty good too.

Well alright, alright
'Cause this time you know I ain't afraid to fight
For you I ain't afraid to die
As long as you are by my side it will be alright
When all faith is gone, I will pray for you
Just keep holding on, I'll be there for you

These are my takes on the tracks:

"Secret Dreams", well, it's sort of part of the musical fabric of my youth, which means that I find it difficult to be objective about it. Not the best of songs by any means but I used to have a pretty hefty emotional investment in this song as a teen. I could relate to it strongly, heh.

"Wild In The Street" is a whole lotta fun! I love how it ends Slippery.

I actually adore "I Want You", which has always been something of a mystery to me - it *is* a very standard rock ballad for sure, nothing there really stands out in any way, yet I've always liked it a great deal. I find an honesty in it, beneath all the clichés. I probably prefer it to *gulp* "I'll Be There For You." Music taste, it's a funny thing sometimes...

I find "Something To Believe In" stunning, it's as simple as that.

"She's A Mystery" is definitely not the most appealing of songs... The chorus in particular grates on me. Again, a tune I very rately listen to.

Can't stand "You Had Me From Hello" at all. Well, it's been several years now since the last time I actually listened to it! But the odds are that I would still find it absolutely abysmal. I will take a listen to it tomorrow to be sure, lol.

"Complicated" is just dire, meh.

I don't have Lost Highway so can't pass judgement on the track 10 of this album.

Secret Dreams - I once called it the worst BJ song ever. That time is gone. It's an ok song.

Wild In The Streets - a classic, though I prefer the live version.

I'll Be There For You - again a true classic blues ballad, which I love but don't listen to too often...

I Want You - I'm scared that so many people don't like this one. For me it's ONE OF THE BEST Love Songs they have ever done. The chorus is just amazing. I wish I'd written these lines...

Something To Believe In - Thank God they made this song.

She's A Mystery - again I'm lonely liking it - truely liking it!

You Had Me From Hello - I rellay like this one, too. The sound is great.

Complicated - I love it and I hate it. The lyrics and attitude are kinda cool, if it only sounded a bit more Rock'n'Roll and wasn't such a close copy of IML.

The Last Night - Strangely the song is playing as I come to type this. I hated hated hated it when I first heard it. Now I skip back to hear it again. Nice one with crappy lyrics. Not their best... not their worst...

Secret Dreams - I enjoy it
Wild In The Streets - Don't listen to it much but I like it
I'll Be There For You - Love it. Mostly down to Richie's echoes in it
I Want You - Meh. Bearable.
Something To Believe In - AWESOME!
She's A Mystery - Puh. Hate it.
You Had Me From Hello - Used to love this, ain't a bad song.
Complicated - Nice rock song. Shame about the lyrics.
The Last Night - The only LH song that hasn't washed over me yet.

Methinks maybe you should have a look at the track listings again: 10 has quite a few good songs (and even the amazing IBTFY), but if you look at all the number 8's...

Come Back; Always Run To You; I'd Die For You; Ride Cowboy Ride; Woman In Love; Letting You Go; Save The World; Right Side Of Wrong; Last Cigarette; Everybody's Broken

With the exception of I'd Die For You, the rest are pretty average at best.

Meh, IMO both track 8 and 10 have some awesome (I'll Be There For You, Something To Believe in, I'd Die For You, Letting You Go), some damn good (Come Back, Wild In The Streets, Ride Cowboy Ride, Right Side Of Wrong, Last Cigarette), some good (Always Run To You, I Want You, Everybody's Broken, The Last Night, Complicated), and some not as good (all the rest)

I was just going to say that, it's not just track 10, the second half of most Bon Jovi albums is pretty poor (New Jersey being one exception). They always load the front half with all the big songs (See Slippery, Faith and These Days). Nowadays (Since TD) pretty much the last three quarters of an album are filler. I'm not counting Lost Highway as that is not a Bon Jovi album as far as I am concerned. I think I've listened to it about twice in 2 weeks!
